It’s FRIIIIDAAAAAY!!!!!!! I couldn’t WAIT for this week to be over! I’m chilling for the most part this weekend. I’ll be shopping for some last minute things today… I’m getting my hair done tomorrow. Tomorrow night, I have 2 birthday parties to attend. And Sunday, I’ll be packing…. Because Monday morning I’ll be headed to VEGAS!!!!

I’ll be MIA all next week. But when I return… I have SOME stories (not all, cause you know…. (don’t kill me Freaky.. LOL) what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.

Anyways… ya’ll take care and miss me (and GTL) while we’re gone :-)

I’m so freaking busy at work that I have to blog at home now in order for ya’ll to know what’s going on with me… does that mean I’m addicted? LOL. Hopefully it will have slowed down come tomorrow in order for me to catch up on my blog-reads.

My Thanksgiving weekend was pretty good. How about yours? It was a long weekend for me, and you know I like to give my run down…. So here we go!

Wednesday

Me and Twin went to my oldest cousin’s birthday happy hour. She turned 32. It was a lot of older people in there, but the drinks were good and cheap! So it didn’t phase us much. The only thing that did bother me, is that I saw one of my mom’s ex-boyfriends! YUCK!!!! I think he recognized me, but was scared to speak because he wasn’t sure if it was me. He gave me that look like… is she old enough to be in here? LMAO! We left there about 10… headed to Jay’s house for his get-together. By time we got there, we were nice and wasted! So the rest of the evening was cool for us.

Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving!!! GTL and I spent our day washing clothes and packing. Then we went to his family’s and then my grandmother’s for dinner. After dinner there, we split up. He went back to his family’s and then I went to my other grandmother’s so I could give my cousin a deposit for a ski trip in Feb. Thanksgiving was a quiet day. It was raining all damn day! But it was cool.

Friday

GTL and I headed to the airport about 10AM. Landed in Charlotte at 1PM and it was on and popping! My girl E and her daughter picked us up at the airport. We grabbed something to eat from Bojangles (for those northerners that have never had it, it’s like a Popeyes.) Anyways… got back to her house and we just bugged out. We watched Gremlins (that was me and E’s movie in college.. Bright Light! Bright Light ! LMAO) Then we got ready to go party. We went to Crush Night Club. That place was cool. It’s a decent spot… and we could do some things with it… but Charlotte’s not ready! LOL. The only thing I didn’t like was that one bouncer was like it’s cool to takes pictures, and then 15 min later, another was coming up to us telling us we couldn’t. Get ya’ll shit together man!

We slept in. And then we had a fish fry. E fried us some catfish that was HOOF THE HOOK! We chilled throughout the day. Watched Gremlins 2. LOL. Then we went to the Bobcats vs. Heat game… where I watch D. Wade buss some ass! We got the cheap seats since it was a last minute plan. We were waaaaaaaaaaaaay up top! Next to the top row of the stadium.


But their stadium is better than the Wizards stadium because although we were all the way up top… you still could see the entire floor clearly



But if you wanted to see the players’ faces, you either had to look at the monitor or use the binoculars.

Sunday

Slept in again. Then we took a road trip to SC (right where, I believe, Carowinds Amusement Park is) and we went to the flea market. When we came back.. E’s mom cooked a BIG dinner for us. We were so stuffed! Then we packed up and headed back. The airport was emotional. E and I were holding back tears.. but her daughter didn’t. She was always my lil’ homey… but she really grew attached to GTL. It was so cute. She colored us pictures… but she colored him A LOT of pictures!!!! Our flight was delayed, but eventually we made it home about 8PM.

And then I came to work on Monday in the madhouse… and Tuesday… When I say my prayers tonight…. They will be that the rest of this week is QUIET!! I need my rest for Vegas next week!

I'm busy as hell at work. Too busy to blog. Too busy to read blogs... Just wanted to say hello!!!

Monday and yesterday I’ve been SWAMPED at work. So much so that I only can read like 1 or 2 blogs in the day and that’s it. Hopefully a lot of people have started their vacation early and today won’t be as bad.

I can’t wait for this break!!! Not my immediate co-workers, but the co-workers that handle the systems I support make me very angry and they make my job a lot harder that what it has to be. They don’t test shit before putting it out in production… they don’t tell us about any changes that they make, so when people start calling in cause shit don’t work…. We don’t have a clue what to tell them. These past two days have been VERY stressful.

Enough about work before I get a headache!

Holiday plans…. Going to my grandmother’s as usual for dinner. I’ll spend tomorrow morning packing. Friday GTL and I will be headed to Charlotte to visit my best friend from college! I’m so excited. And so is she. GTL is just happy to go away for a bit. But we should have a great time. Don’t know what the plans exactly are…. So I can’t give you guys a run-down of daily activities.

Except tonight… I have yet another birthday this month. Today is my cousin’s birthday. She’s the oldest of us all. I believe she’s 32 or 33. Anyways… we’re going to a happy hour not too far from my job so she can get wasted! LOL. What can I say? I have a family full of alcoholics. LMAO. Then from there, one of GTL’s homeboys is having something at his new house tonight, so we’ll be headed there after the happy hour.

A lot of people are posting about what they’re thankful for… I was going to.. but chose not to. I’m thankful for a lot of things…. Which I thank God directly for… I wish everyone a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!! Be safe over the holiday weekend.

Friday…. Got off work early, went to the mall, found a shirt in the 1st store I went to! Went home, changed clothes and headed downtown for GTL and I to do our late lunch… which was AMAZING. I so love the Capital Grille. Went to the store, got some balloons, went home and took my time getting ready for the night.

We got to Eden’s about 9:30. Honey-Libra and Roomie were already there… looking cute in their purple and turquoise [respectively.] Found the manager of the club to make sure the arrangements that we had planned, were still good to go. They were… for the most part. We didn’t get the entire back room like we were supposed to, but we got the best part of it… I set the balloons up… and we drank a little bit while we waited for more people to straggle in. Which they did… it eventually got pretty packed in there.

My girlfriends came in and we danced a little bit on the dance floor, but it was a little too packed for our taste. Where we were in the back room, we were directly behind the DJ booth… they were partying their asses off back there, so we asked could we join them… they said yeah. We partied so hard in the DJ booth! LOL. Then I turned around and saw GTL giving a strip show! LMAO. The dude in the DJ booth was like, “Go get him! He’s dancing for you.. go dance with him.” So I did… and when I got to him and turned him around, the bouncers came back and was like, “We have a dress code, you need to put your shirt back on.” Well he tossed his show in her performance, so he had to find it. By time he found it, more bouncers came back and made a big scene for nothing. GTL decided to get some fresh air, and that’s when he realized that he was REALLY fucked up! LMAO. His homeboy cursed me out, cause I kept partying while he GTL was collecting himself. That put a damper on my mood, and I had an attitude for the rest of the night. GTL finally re-appeared after about 45 min, but he was so wasted that we had to leave early.

Shout out to Missy who surprised the hell out of me by coming!!!! Shout-out to the other bloggers that came through…. G-Mo, Mikey, KnowOne…. Kween & TE, ya’ll don’t count cause ya’ll our friends for real :-) GTL woke up the next morning feeling great, with no recollection of anything after the strip show. LMAO. Here are the pics.





Saturday… I told GTL about himself and we “kissed and made up.” LOL. We were supposed to have a meeting downtown… but that flopped, it’s cool though… cause things will work themselves out. Then we did an early dinner with GTL’s parents. We went to Bone Fish. This place is really nice… we will definitely be going back. After dinner, we got ourselves together and headed to the Western Night. GTL and I switched places and I got wasted! LOL. Western Night was cool… it wasn’t as fun as previous years. The DJ kind of sucked…. Well let me rephrase that…. For it to be a Western Night he sucked. He didn’t play as many line dance songs as he should’ve… and the mixing was terrible. But since I was drunk… I enjoyed myself :-) You can see the pics here.

Sunday… I couldn’t wake up to go to Church. (Bad Tiffany! LOL) So I chilled. Played with the photos and then went out Dave & Buster’s to celebrate my cousin’s birthday. We bowled and played basketball. GTL and I shared the HOTTEST buffalo wings… but they were good! I beat GTL in the basketball game :-) I was sooo pumped! I never beat him. He wanted a re-match.. but I was like, NO! I’m leaving the winner! LMAO. I haven’t uploaded those pics yet.

EDIT: I forgot to say... I'm a auntie!! My brother had a baby girl Sunday at 2:57AM. Her name is Jamice Ashley Brandon. I can't wait to see her!

Outside of my attitude on Friday night… I had a great weekend! How was yours?

Today is my husband’s birthday. He’s 28. This is the 3rd birthday that we’ve spent together, but the first time that we weren’t together to bring it in. He made plans to go to the bar (as usual) but the time was too early. I was still at the mall… oh well… I’d see him when he got home! I called him at midnight and sent him a text, then passed out. He got home around 2AM (I guess) and like a kid on Christmas morning, wanted to open his gifts. Since I was the same way midnight on my birthday, I said ok. He was VERY happy with his gifts. I got him 2 Polo shirts, a Polo wallet with $20 in it, a Polo Blazer (that people will see tonight) a Jack Daniels flask (LOL) and I’m taking him to a late lunch at The Capital Grille. I was going to get him a bottle of Jack Daniels, but every time I went to the bar that had the box set I wanted, they were closed, so I took that as a sign, he didn’t need it. LOL!

I’m leaving early today b/c I still need a shirt. I got the boots last night :-) And I got some capris, just need a shirt now! And also because of the lunch of course :-)

Plans for the weekend…..

Tonight…. As if you didn’t already know…. The big birthday bash down Eden’s Lounge. We’re supposed to have a huge turn out… so it should be a lot of fun.

Tomorrow…. His mom is taking us to lunch. And then as long as we don’t win tickets to the Jay-Z Hanger Tour, we’ll be going to a Western Night. Western Night is where people dress up like they’re from the Western era… cowboy boots, hats, etc. get together eat, drink, and line dance. Me…. I’m wearing jeans, a brown t-shirt, and brown shoe-boots! That’s about as Western as I get. I’m looking for a Cowboy hat, but not pressed for it.

Sunday…. Is my cousin (who is like my brother) birthday. He’s having something out Dave & Buster’s (formerly known as Jillian’s) in Arundel Mills Mall. I also have a surprise for GTL that day as well.

Friday

Friday was a holiday that only government workers celebrate. Out main customer on this contract is a government agency… they were off. But since we do have some customers that are open, we had to work. Friday was EXTREMELY dead. My boss made us jambalaya. And we played spades and dominoes. It was a really chill day. My boss came up to me about 3PM and said that I can go home. OK! You don’t have to tell me twice… I was out!

I got home, and took a nice lil nap. When I woke up, I was starving, but chose not to eat because we were having our “Sunday Dinner” that night at TE’s in collaboration with her birthday party. Her theme for the food was Chinese and Jamaican… don’t know where she came up with that, but it was pretty tasty! We had: Jamaican beef patties & egg rolls for appetizers. The main course consisted of General Tso’s Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, and Curry Chicken… I think the Jerk was the best! But everything was yummy. For dessert… we had ALCOHOL! LOL. We played Taboo… and ghetto taboo! LOL. Where we made up our own words to guess. It was so much fun. I drank a little more than I planned, but I didn’t mind…

Saturday

…that was until I had to get up for work the next morning. Luckily I had something to keep me occupied that day so I wasn’t hurting too, too bad while I was at my part-time job. When I got off, I took a nap and then got up to get dressed.

Me, TE, Twin, and Sis (GTL’s sis) went to a toy party. It was originally supposed to start at 7PM… miscommunication caused it to start at 8PM. The lady had another party and she didn’t get there until damn near 9PM…. *sigh* We can never start on time! But it was fun while we were there. We played this game where we had to keep saying Pussy something (I forget) while adding more & more marshmallows in our mouths. My limit was 5. This white girl must be a super freak! Cause you could hear her loud & clear w/ 5 and I’m sure she could’ve kept going! I’m not a toy person.. but I did get something for GTL and I to try together :-) My mom was there… her and her sisters are FREAKS! I was so uncomfortable… She had me buy her a toy… YUCK! HAHA. We left early so we missed out on the stripper. But my mom told me later that he never came… again miscommunication. My cousin (the host) was pissed!!!

After the toy-party, we headed downtown to celebrate the November babies! GTL, Kween, TE, and Twin all won a happy hour to celebrate their birthdays at the same bar. N1S came through… we had a ball! They had a band that was mad cool. The lead singer told people to come up on the stage… We went up there and took over! Kween kept singing “To the left, to the left!” We were partying for real! LOL. That night I didn’t get too wasted like some others, won’t mention any names since it was her actual birthday! LOL.

Sunday

But I was still hurt Sunday at work. I think I was more hurt Sun that Sat… guess all of that excitement added up! So after the longest 8 hours of my life, GTL picked me up and we headed to Laurel to get his Birthday Curry from BK Diva. We stayed and ate and laughed it up with her. As it was the last time… the curry chicken was amazing!!!! She made so much… I have some for lunch today :-) Can’t wait to devour it! LOL

She also hooked us up w/ Kingdom Come… Anybody that knows me, know that I LOVE Jay-Z… let one of his songs come on in the club…. I’m rapping all of the words and just get real amped!! (if that’s a word) We listened to it on the way home… with the exception of “Show Me What You Got” and one more song… that CD is FIYAH!!! And I will still be buying the original on 11/21/06… Gotta support! All I’m going to say is… because of like 5 (if not more) of his songs… Cam’Ron faggot ass is going to be coming out w/ a new song about my man…. But Cam’s not ready!!!!

This weekend has been non-stop for me (as you saw the outline in the last post.) This isn’t a weekend recap post cause I didn’t upload my pictures yet… but I just wanted to share with my weekend bloggers that I AM DEAD TIRED!!!!

I’m at my part-time job now struggling to stay woke. I need to be writing a paper (go ahead and “scream” it Freaky! lol) but I can’t keep my attention on one thing longer than 5 minutes… so I think that’s going to have to wait until tomorrow. It’s only 3 pages anyways….

Last night was a more eventful night than usual for me during the week. GTL and I went to a happy hour hosted by Tif. (You may have seen him around the blog world… usually frequents my spot, BKDiva’s, Kween’s, and GTL’s spot. Cool dude from Baltimore. The Place Lounge is the spot we went to. The lounge is really cool, a tad bit small, but they plan on knocking down some walls and opening the 2nd floor. Once that happens, I think it’s really going to be a nice place. We didn’t stay there too long.. long enough to get a few drinks and watch CSI. LOL. I was really into that show last night… so much so that I ignored the fact that the chicks on both sides of me and GTL were smoking…. I hate cigarette smoke. Met Tif’s girl… this is such a small world. She works at T. Rowe Price (so does GTL) in the same building that I used to work in when I was a prisoner there. Tif works at Lockheed Martin… just like me! We’re actually on the same street… he’s just a few blocks away. The Place Lounge prices weren’t too bad neither… so GTL and will be going back.

When we left there… we went to Eden’s Lounge. This is the spot where GTL will be having his birthday party next Friday. He has so many people coming and the owner was impressed that they offered him either the VIP stage or the back room – for FREE. Either option is too small (alone) to hold the amount of people that are coming through… But we went down there to talk to the owner to see if we can get the back room, as well as get a few people on the stage. The owner was cool with it. So we chilled for a while… people watched while we listened to some music before heading home. If you’re in the Baltimore area next Friday and you haven’t received the e-vite… that’s cause I don’t know your email address! LOL. But you’re more than welcome to come down Eden’s Lounge next Friday. We’re partying from 9PM til 2AM to celebrate GTL’s 28th birthday. Come through!!

Now you know me… I always have something planned for the weekend. :-) As I mentioned in the last post… Wed was TE’s birthday. We’re celebrating that tonight. She’s having a little get-together at her house. That should be a lot of fun. Our get-togethers usually are.

Tomorrow… I work at my part-time job. When I get off… my cousin is having a toy party. This will be my first one ever. I hear that they are a lot of fun…. She’s also is going to have a STRIPPER! LOL. Tomorrow is also Kween’s birthday… So after the toy party we’ll be celebrating that. Actually we’ll be celebrating TE, Kween, GTL, and Twin’s birthday tomorrow night. This club downtown emailed all 4 of them and asked them to celebrate their birthday at their spot. As long as they get 5 people to come celebrate with them… they drink free all night! Since I have to work Sunday… I won’t be wasted… but I will be NIIIICCEE!!

So Sunday morning… work. When I get off, GTL and I will be headed to Laurel. BK Diva promised to make him some curry chicken for his birthday since she wouldn’t be able to celebrate with him next Friday. From what I hear… she’s going to make enough for us to eat a little bit there with her… have a few drinks… and then we’ll have some more to take home with us! Can’t wait. That curry chicken from the DC Blogger Meet & Greet was OFF THE HOOK!!!!

Not much going on with me right now. This weekend marks the start of my broke month. Yesterday was TE’s birthday. Saturday is Kween’s and my grandmother’s birthday. Next Friday is GTL’s birthday. And the following Monday is my twin’s birthday. *sigh*

My friends want to do a Secret Santa/Gift Exchange… I don’t do Christmas for my friends… although this is a reasonable option for us, am I wrong for saying I’m not participating? No one is making a big deal out of, but I kind of feel bad… but then I think that most of their birthdays (all except one) is the month before, and then I’m like fuck that! I’m not participating! We’re doing a Secret Santa at my job and in my family… on top of the gifts I have to get others (my mom, grandmother, GTL, and Godson)…. I can’t afford it!

GTL and I are working on something… that can turn out to be great for us! I’m going to go into details just yet because I don’t want to jinx us… but Baltimore/DC/NOVA…. Be looking out for something hot in 2007!

See… not too much going on over here……

I’m going to Vegas the first full week in December with GTL, all of my girlfriends, a few cousins, my mom, grandmom, and 2 aunts. My one aunt is a travel agent and gives this trip to Vegas every year. This is my third time going.

My first time there, I went with my mom, grandmom, and 2 aunts. They had the videogame awards there the day after we left. No biggie. Two years later (last year) I went with GTL, my grandmom, and my one aunt. GTL and I found out that the Billboard Music Awards were in town, they morning after they occurred! We were so heated!!!

Well, this year, I was on my game and found out that the Billboard Music Awards are being held the night we land, in our hotel. Guess who’s going???? Yup! Me, GTL, and my one homegirl/his sister. GTL doesn’t get excited until the time actually comes near… but me? I’m ecstatic now!! And I just got the email that my tickets have been printed… I’m psyched!

Don’t worry… I’ll take lots of pictures when that time comes! My only fear about the show is that, I know it’s going to be long… I’m just hoping it doesn’t bore the shit out of me with it being so long! LOL. I doubt it. I’ll probably be too excited and be too worried about trying to get heard/seen on camera! MJB performs… so when she stops singing or gets an award... be listening for me to say “I LOVE YOU MARY!!!!!” LMAO.

Not sure what else we’re going to do while there… but it should be a lot of fun! Hanging out with family and friends in Sin City…. Trouble… Trouble! LOL.

I Had a Great Weekend

It wasn’t real busy. I chilled… I partied… I rested… and it was great!

Friday… GTL and ordered pizza and was laid up on the couch watching TV together. Since I had to go to work the next day, I was in bed by 11PM.

Saturday… I went to work. While at work, I did all of my homework while listening to my iPod. When I got off, I went home and my mother and I went to the mall. The party that we were going to was a family event and she had to get jazzed up. LOL. I dropped my mom back off and then headed over to GTL’s to get dressed.

For my birthday, my girlfriend from Charlotte sent me a flask as my gift. LOL. She knows that when I go out, I usually have a Pepsi bottle with Hennessy in it… She said that I’m classy, so I should drink with style! LOL. Last night was the first time I used it. I filled it up with Hennessy straight and was sipping on that the way down. It takes abot 30 min to get the club. About half way there, I was like, “I forgot my camera!” So we had to go back so I could get it. At first I was going to go to 7-11, get a disposable one and get the pictures put on CD, but my twin said she needed a drink, so we just went back home. GTL grabbed the camera for me, and Twin and I got some drink up in us (I refilled my flask with some more Hennessy.) I was wasted by time we even got there.

The reason for the celebration was because my twin cousins turned 30.

Black folks are unorganized. The way it was supposed to go down was that family members went on the guest list and we got into VIP for free. There was no guest list!!! Luckily, my cousin walked up right behind us and took care of the admittance for us. But when we got to VIP, we didn’t get any wrist bands (me and twin that is) But my other cousin (the twin’s sister) was there letting the bouncer know who to let in. So me, twin, and Kween got up there. We decided that we would NOT being going back downstairs for anything b/c it’s too hectic trying to get back up there. Like 30 minutes later, my other home girl and her friend, get there. I had to find my cousin to get them up there. Trying to get into VIP was a mad house.

I was really happy because my girlfriend from school… the one that now lives in Charlotte…. Was in town and was able to party with me. Although I’m going to see in 3 weeks, it was still good to see her. Jan was last time we partied together. She had a blast.

(GTL, Warren, Me, & Cheron [another cousin])

Sunday… I woke up and got ready for Church. It was hard as hell to get out of bed, but I did and was glad that I did. The message was to love: Love God and my neighbors as I love myself…. So I love you guys :-)

After Church, I came home and cooked a roast and it was delicious!!! I also washed clothes and uploaded my pics while GTL watched football. I also took a well deserved & much needed NAP!!!!

How was your weekend?

This weekend, I do have plans, but compared to my past weekends, this one will be pretty chill for me. I don’t have something planned everyday, which is a relief for me.

Tonight….. NOTHING! GTL and I are going to order a pizza and sit in the house and catch up on our Friday shows: Vegas and Numbers. I have to work at my part-time job so I won’t be up that late tonight.

Tomorrow…. Work 8AM-4PM – really doing homework 8AM-4PM. When I get off, I’m going to take a nap. Saturday night… my cousins are having their 30th birthday party at Club One. They have it set up that family gets in free all night and don’t have to wait in line, so that’s what’s up. GTL is family so he gets in free. A lot of my girlfriends are Scorpios so they get in free all night. Only a few will have to pay $10… But it should be fun, because if the same bouncer is there that used to be when I went all the time before, they will be in VIP right along with me.

Sunday…. As long as I don’t get too wasted Sat night, I’m going to Church. I changed my schedule to make sure I was off on Sunday from my part-time job because I was originally scheduled to work…. But if I want to party for real, I couldn’t be getting up for work the next day. Other than that…. NOTHING!!!!!

I can’t wait…. I miss doing NOTHING during the weekends. What are your plans?

I got my automatic starter!!!! Well… I been had it, it was just never installed. But it is now! So now on those brick cold mornings, all I have to due is press a button about 5 min before I’m ready to walk out the door and walla! When I get to my car it’s nice and warm. :-) Which I think I will definitely need this winter, cause if last weekend is any indication of how cold it’s going to be…..

I’m so happy! Fox got some sense and moved House back to 9PM. I really like house, but not better than NCIS. So once CBS started their lineup this season, I stopped watching House. I don’t know why these stations made so many changes to their lineups anyway… I had a schedule last year of what shows to watch on what day at what time. Thursday was one of my favorite days…. I had Will & Grace, CSI, and Without a Trace. Now all I have is CSI.

According to GTL, I was supposed to go to this bar crawl last night for Halloween. For those like me that don’t know what that is, it’s bar hopping, but you’re so drunk that you have to “crawl” to the next bar. I didn’t remember saying I was going…. So I didn’t. After class last night, I was too tired to go anywhere but my bed and watch my shows. But he and his friends had a good time.

It’s November, and tied with July…. This is my broke month. So many birthdays!! I decided a long time ago that I only do birthdays for my friends, not Christmas… but I never expected so many of my friends to have birthdays in the same month: GTL, Kween, TE, Nikki…. Not to mention my cousins – I have 4 of them…. Along with my grandmother. I think I’m more broke in November and July than I am in December for Christmas! And it doesn’t help that GTL and I have something planned for every weekend in this month. Oh well… I’ll be ok.
